The first steps are often the hardest to take, but are the most rewarding. At Derbyshire Kickboxing we strive to provide the best instruction around where:

You Will

Practice in a safe and welcoming environment
Be taught by a fully qualified black belt instructor
Learn realistic self defense
Meet like minded people
Have full support and encouragement from the coaching team
Improve flexibility and general fitness

You Will Not

Be put at risk
Be forced to fight (ever!)
Be singled out from the rest of the group
Do the same class twice
Get bored with repetitive exercises
Be made to do anything you are not comfortable with

Providing the best quality kickboxing training for all ages and fitness levels in the Derbyshire area. We recognise everyone’s reasons for starting martial arts vary.

We aim to deliver a wide variety in the classes, improving fitness, self-confidence, flexibility, and realistic self-defence. Most classes concentrate on the non-contact elements of the sport, but exposure to sparring and competitions is available if desired.

I started kickboxing to get back into some exercise! I wasn't sure at first but once I had a go I knew I needed to do this! I have loved every bit since! I would recommend anyone joining- for exercise - for greats friends and for the great feel of being able to accomplish something!! This is literally for everyone!!!! <3

Since starting kickboxing 2 years ago, my fitness levels have increased hugely, and I've now reached my purple belt. It's a fantastic sport, and there isn't a better club to learn it with than Derbyshire Kickboxing. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, you feel right at home from your first session. Each week is different from the last, and you recognise the benefits almost instantly.

📣🎉 NEW INTERCLUB CATEGORY 🎉📣
Thrilled to announce a brand new category for our upcoming interclub tournament with our PKA sister clubs at Kickbox UK 🥊😀

⭐️ Adult Semi Contact Points TEAM category ⭐️ adding some strategy and drama to the event 👍

How will it work? 🤔
🥊 All adults competing in the Semi Contact Points category will take part
🥊 Teams of 3 or 4 will be allocated by the instructing team depending on the number of competitors and representation across clubs
🥊 Matches will be until a successful strike scores points (punch or kick! and then fighters swap over (or up to a maximum round time if no score made)
🥊 Winning team decided once all members have had their turn on the mat and total points scored
🥊 Teams decide their order to order to maximise points (ladies will fight ladies)

Really excited to add this new category into the adults competition, giving fighters more matches and working together to get gold 🥇 if successful, we may expand to the juniors in future events
